Post Haste: Here’s how this Halloween’s arrests stack up to years past; Ohio volleyball drops back-to-back matches

Welcome to November.

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Monday, Nov. 2, 2015:

Ah, Halloween in Athens. It’s a tradition marked by costumes, crowds and for some: handcuffs.

All told, about 130 people left Saturday’s festivities under arrest by the Athens Police Department or Ohio University Police Department or charged by undercover agents.

The chart below gives you an idea of how that number stacks up against previous years.

We didn’t include the number of undercover charges from past years because some data was missing, but this year, the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Investigative Unit nabbed 63 people, all on alcohol-related offenses.

That number is usually a little higher than APD and OUPD arrests.

We’ll have a detailed rundown of unusual arrests later this week, so keep an eye on ThePostAthens.com for that. (It usually comes out late Monday).
