The Athens County Sheriff's Office reported to OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital Sunday to pick up an evidence kit in conjunction with an investigation of the sexual assault of a child.
An Athens County Sheriff's Office deputy reported to OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital on Sunday as part of an investigation into the sexual assault of a child.
The deputy collected an evidence kit from the hospital Sunday night at about 9 p.m., according to a report from the sheriff's office.
The report said the incident occurred in Chauncey.
The case is still being investigated and no more information is available at this time.
