It seems the campus clown invasion has begun.
Videos of students at Kent State University and Pennsylvania State University taking part in “clown hunting” expeditions circulated on Twitter on Monday night after videos of and rumors about menacing clowns have swept the internet as a whole.
Some OU students seem to be concerned about the clowns coming to Athens.
Apparently there's clowns in Athens now so this is my final goodbye it was nice knowing you guys

If one of the clowns in Athens ever tried to come at me you best believe his family better start planning his funeral.

If the clown invasion were to come to Athens, it’s best for students and citizens not to worry. In a CBS news article, New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner John Miller told citizens not to buy into the hype, and that the clowns are harmless.
