Good Morning,
From the vault of endless obscure national holidays which serve no purpose other than to fill the headline void on slow news days, tomorrow is National Dessert Day, and Americans everywhere are rejoicing over a new excuse to justify their excessively unhealthy diets.
Among the holiday’s many beneficiaries have been the fast-growing business of clickbait journalism, as culinary experts everywhere have jumped at the opportunity to share their “Six Delicious Ways to Celebrate National Dessert Day” or “5 outrageous sweets around town.”
That, however, is not to exclude Cathy from St. Louis, who absolutely cannot wait to show you how she celebrates on the fourteenth of October, nor could one possibly overlook the unforgettable LA Magazine entry, “17 Phenomenal Things To Do This Weekend, 10/13.”
For all you dessert skeptics out there, though, fear not, for National Cheese Curd Day lies just on the horizon. October 15th can’t come soon enough.
