Good morning,

Starting on Thursday and running through Saturday night, the Lost Flamingo Theatre Company is bringing a live-action rendition of The Rocky Horror Picture Show to Athens.

Based on the 1973 stage production which was later popularized by the 1975 cult-classic film starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and a young, stunning and cryogenically-frozen Meat Loaf driving a motorcycle through a wall of ice, the musical will be at the Union Bar & Grill on 18 West Union Street Thursday, Friday and Saturday night starting at 10 (doors open at 9:00 p.m.). The cover charge is five dollars, and the dress code is non-existent.

When asked why people should come to the show, sophomore Zach Delin — who plays a leading role as Brad Majors — gave a colorful answer, saying, “For one night, you can do whatever the hell you want, not be judged for it, look like a total f--king fool and be as sexy as you want. So, why not come?”

Weather

After a brief respite from the brisk October weather, we’re set for a brutal return to reality. A high of 57, with cloudy skies and a sixty percent chance for rain. The overnight low paints an even bleaker picture, as temps may dip into the high 30s. (Courtesy of Scalia Lab)

Scores and Game Times

The volleyball team takes on Northern Illinois in The Convo this weekend. Football will play Kent State, at Kent State.
