Dads Weekend stuff to do; man found dead in Hocking River

Dads Weekend is here.

Each year, both the university and the City of Athens offer students plenty of activities for dads to enjoy with their children. The following are a few of those activities:

Friday:

Stargazing and campfire — 7:30 p.m., The Ridges, $10 per person.

Fall Jazz Concert — 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Temple-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium, free.

Saturday:

Pumpkin Hustle 5k/3k — registration begins at 11:30 a.m., Athens Community Center Pool Pavilion, $15 per person and free for kids under 12.

Alden Open Mini Golf Tournament — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Alden Library, $5 per person for nine holes and $10 per person for 18.

Men’s basketball vs. Rio Grande — 2 p.m., The Convo, Tickets needed for non-students

The Daily Show Correspondents Tour, — 8 p.m, Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium, $20 per person.
