Good morning,

The Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday night by a score of 8-7. The victory is the Cubs’ first World Series title in 108 years, which is both very impressive and entirely unimpressive at the same time.

After controversial sportscaster Joe Buck called the game, Anthony Rizzo, a skilled-but-baby-faced infielder for the Cubs, was quoted using an Indians slogan after the game, saying “We rallied together.”

Many Athenians were, predictably, sad.

The Post talked with some sad fans at uptown bars after the game.

"I'm hurt," Sebastian Weaver, a freshman studying chemistry and pre-med, said. "I'm hurting."
