Good morning,

We’re officially three weeks into the Spring Semester and by this point, you may start noticing your bank account dwindling — but you might be able to save a few bucks if you waive two of OU’s fees.

Today is the deadline to waive both the Student Health Insurance Fee and the Student Legal Service Fee.

If you already have a health insurance provider you are eligible to opt out of OU’s Student Health Insurance.

The Student Legal Service Fee provides students with legal representation, advice and education through the Center for Legal Services. You may want to hold off on waiving this one, though — fest season will be here before you know it.

Also worth noting: OU is running a test of its emergency communication systems today at around 12:00 p.m., so don’t be alarmed if you receive a text from the university or hear muffled warnings from speakers near campus.
