Good morning,

Communication Week at OU kicks off today and the Scripps College of Communication will be hosting numerous events.

From Tuesday to Friday, an exhibit featuring work from Pete Souza will be on display in the VisCom Gallery on the first floor of Schoonover.

Souza previously served as the chief White House photographer for President Obama and President Reagan and worked as an assistant professor in OU’s School of Visual Communication.

Souza has drawn attention recently for his activity on Instagram.

The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and School of Visual Communication will also host a symposium on Tuesday and Wednesday featuring notable figures in photojournalism and news media.

Several OU alumni are scheduled to speak at the event, including Souza and Pulitzer prize-winning Washington Post reporter Wes Lowery, who covered the Ferguson riots in 2014.
