1. Police officer helps girl search for boogie man
Officer David Bonday gave the all clear to 4-year-old Sidney Fahrenbruch after the child asked him to search her new house for monsters. Fahrenbruch, who always wanted to be a police officer, doesn’t really buy into the idea of monsters, but she wanted to hang with the police for the day, the Associated Press reported.
“Sidney again wore her police uniform for the hunt, which turned up zero bogeymen,” AP reported.
2. A tortoise met the bread version of himself and loved him

Herman the tortoise needed a pal, and his owner just decided to cook him up one. Neil Slorance from Glasgow, Scotland, baked up the bread version of his pet, Mashable reported. People on Twitter loved it, until tragedy struck.

3. Just look at this giant dog with this baby!

“Instagram user Tamanegi posts pictures of their three giant standard poodles Qoo, Riku and Gaku and their 1-year-old granddaughter Mame,” BuzzFeed reported.
4. We have found NASA's next planetary protection officer
Nine-year-old Jack Davis is going to protect us all. The kid wrote a letter to NASA explaining why he should be the next planetary protection officer.
“Some of Davis’ experience includes having seen "almost all" movies about aliens and space, and being good at video games,” Mashable reported. “He also hopes to see Men in Black and learn how to think like an alien.”

5. The Disney princesses are making their way back to the big screen
PSA: E! News reported that some Disney fan favorites will be coming to theaters during the fall. From Sept. 8 through Oct. 13 classics like Mulan and Tangled will be showing at various AMC theaters. You can check out the full lineup here.
