Right off the heels of her first single from Reputation, “Look What You Made Me Do,” Taylor Swift dropped another: “Ready For It.”
The single, which is the first track on the new album, was teased in a college football promo and released on iTunes, Spotify and other streaming outlets.
The sexy pop song is different than its predecessor. It harnesses that a little bit of the sound 1989 had but includes rap-style verses and a catchy chorus.
The lyrics are more clever than “Look What You Made Me Do.” The sultry lyrics talk about a crush and how Swift is going to go about getting him.
Though the track possesses some qualities of the “new Taylor,” some of her older sound is in there. So if you weren’t a fan of “Look What You Made Me Do,” give “Ready For It” a chance.
