Grey’s Anatomy left viewers on the edge of their seats in Thursday's midseason finale — and fans will have to wait until January to find out what happens.
In the episode, the hospital gets hacked and everything electronic stops working. The attack causes chaos. The hackers requested almost 5 thousand bitcoins, which equates to $20 million.
With all of the confusion, many of the surgeons have to operate under extraneous circumstances. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) runs out of blood, Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) help a woman give birth and Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) have to staunch blood flow in a helicopter. Oh, and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) may have accidently killed a child.
But the biggest shock came when Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington)’s ex husband (Matthew Morrison) showed up calling her by her real name, Brooke Stadler. It’s weird seeing Morrison in the role because it’s easy to remember him as the fun-loving Will Schuester on Glee. Talk about a plot twist though. Jo’s plotline is about to get interesting, but it’s nice to see her more involved on the show as more than the whiny doctor everyone tolerates.
