Jason would be the perfect candidate for 'The Bachelor.' (via @jason_tartick on Instagram).

TV Review: Jason would be the perfect leading man for ‘The Bachelor’

And then there were two.

Becca Kufrin narrowed the competition down to two men on Monday’s episode of The Bachelorette. Blake and Garrett will be vying for the final rose and a chance for happiness, but Jason was left packing his bags. After a weird date, Becca said she couldn’t see a future with him. The Bachelor is usually chosen from the men who appeared on The Bachelorette. Here’s why that leading man should be Jason:

He just got his heart broken…

On their date this week, Becca had to take a few minutes to herself because she couldn’t see a future with him. It hit her all of a sudden. At dinner, he asked where her heart was at, and she said she could see more of a future with Garrett and Blake. Jason was so taken aback.

“I can’t put you through or me through an overnight if it’s not 100 percent there,” Becca said. Then she sent him home.

Having your heart broken is important in becoming the next Bachelor. It shows that the person is open to love and is looking for the right person. Though Jason loved Becca, their relationship wasn’t as far along as the other two, and rewatching the season might give him some clarity that he would need to move on.

“I came in rooting for your happiness, and I’ll come out of this rooting for your happiness,” Jason said.

…and he tried to win Becca back

Jason showed that he will fight for love when he knocked on Becca’s door. It wasn’t like earlier in the season when Chris did it. It wasn’t out of desperation; it was out of love.

He wanted to talk to her, and he even made her a scrapbook of their time together. He just wanted one last goodbye, which solidified him as an all-around good guy.

He seems normal

Jason is very attractive, but that is not his only quality. He went through this season with as much normality as one can expect. He is just a guy who loves his family and hometown of Buffalo, New York.

Jason is comparable to Ben Higgins. They both came in third and were probably the most normal people on their seasons. By logical progression, that means Jason should become the Bachelor. It only makes sense.

Fans expressed their want for Jason on social media

It has been known that the producers of The Bachelor take the fans’ into consideration when choosing the next frontrunner. After Arie’s season, ABC can’t afford to get another boring guy who doesn’t seem to really care.

Bachelor Nation wants Peter, but he has said he’s not ready for that yet. So that leaves Jason. Whoever goes home next week will be too heartbroken to become The Bachelor. And Bachelor Nation would be happy with Jason:

The Men Tell All will air Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
