Ohio point guard D.J. Cooper was named Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

In Ohio's 72-54 win at Portland on Saturday, Cooper recorded the first triple-double of his career as he finished the game with 14 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. He also added five steals. 

Earlier in the week, Cooper helped lead the Bobcats to an 84-82 win over Oakland, ending the Grizzlies' 11-game home winning streak. Cooper had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists in the win. 

Cooper ranks ninth in the country in assits and 15th in steals. 

Cooper is Ohio's leading contributor in many statistical categories including points, assists and steals.
