The Nelsonville-York Lady Buckeyes picked up their 11th win of the season Thursday night. The team improved its record to 11-4.
By beating Meigs 63-23 at home, Nelsonville-York moved up to third place in the Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division behind Athens and Vinton County. Athens leads the pack at 5-1 in conference play, after a 55-40 win at home against Vinton County on Thursday night.
The win against Meigs is the third conference victory for the Lady Buckeyes (3-3), who are one game behind Vinton County in second place.
Nelsonville-York will play all of the teams in the TVC-Ohio once more, with the exception of Meigs, which it has already played twice.
The Lady Buckeyes travel to Athens on Feb. 2 and will host Vinton County on Feb. 6, both key games if Nelsonville-York hopes to contend for a conference title.
