Doctors determined Thursday that Bowling Green women's basketball coach Curt Miller suffered a minor stroke during the Falcons' game against Eastern Michigan Sunday.

Miller will not travel with his team to Central Michigan this weekend. He told the Associated Press that he will take his health into greater consideration.

"This has been a wake-up call for me and I have already begun the process of finding a healthier balance," Miller said.

Assistant coach Jennifer Roos will fill in for Miller when the Falcons play the Chippewas this weekend. Miller has not set a date for his return to the sideline.

"Our first priority is Curt's health," Bowling Green athletic director Greg Christopher said. "Although he has been cleared to continue coaching, we all felt it was best to take a step back right now. We fully expect Curt to return to the bench soon."

The Falcons have gotten off to a great start again this year. They are 16-3, including a perfect 6-0 mark in Mid-American Conference play.
