A bruised wrist sidelined Ohio point guard D.J. Cooper during the second half of Ohio's 68-42 win against Central Michigan on Saturday. But two days later, Cooper said he is feeling no ill effects from the injury.

"It’s just a quick bruise," Cooper said. "It was hurting a little more during the game but now I’m feeling good."

Cooper said the wrist will not affect him in Ohio's upcoming game at Toledo Wednesday and said that he should be close to, if not 100 percent.

Following Saturday's win, Ohio coach John Groce said he did not see the play in which Cooper injured himself, but was able to watch it on replay.

"He got caught there between a screen and Reggie Keely on Saturday," Groce said. "Everything looks good, no swelling, mild sprain.

"We did get it X-rayed just for precautionary reasons and we don’t expect anything’s wrong with it. We’ll get the results back on that hopefully sometime today."

Cooper is Ohio's leading scorer and the seventh leading scorer in the Mid-American Conference with 13.3 points per game.
