Ohio is coming off a tough weekend. Its storied rival, Liberty, ended up completing a sweep against Ohio, securing victory with a 3-4 score on both nights. The Flames were playing with a lot of grit and speed, and the Bobcats simply lacked the energy to keep up. This was a consistent issue for the Bobcats at the beginning of the season, but it has since dissipated. Now that it’s rearing its horns once again, Ohio needs to bounce back with a win this weekend. Ohio (1-4) enters its second tournament of the season Friday, traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina, to take part in the Spiro Classic. In the event, Ohio will play four games in group play against Sacred Heart, Drexel and UNC Greensboro, which will decide the seeding for the final matchup of the weekend, in which the top two teams will play each other, as will the bottom two.
