Fliers were posted around Athens County yesterday stating that because of the record number of registered voters, Republicans were to cast their ballot yesterday and Democrats today and urging voters to vote on their designated day. Athens County Prosecutor C. David Warren sent out a news release yesterday to inform the public that the fliers are false, and Nov. 3 is not an Election Day.
The distribution of these fliers is against Ohio law and considered voter fraud, which will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, according to the news release.
