Starting 184-pound wrestler for the Bobcats Brian Cesear has his work cut out for him this weekend.
As the Ohio wrestling squad faces No. 20 West Virginia and Mid-American Conference rivals Kent State, Cesear will match-up against the Nos. 1 and 16 ranked 184-pounders in the country, the Mountaineer's Greg Jones and the Golden Flashes' Alex Camargo, respectively.
I think this will be good for Cesear
Ohio coach Joel Greenlee said. First of all he's made many improvements this year. Second of all Camargo is a guy that he works out with in the summer; he knows that guy inside out.
So far this season Camargo holds a 28-4 record, while Jones, a two-time NCAA champion, holds a perfect record of 13-0.
Cesear explained that having practiced with Camargo will make for a tough match, and that against Jones he will have to take what he can get.
I've never wrestled (Camargo) in a match
Cesear said. And when you wrestle any guy a lot no matter how much of a gap there is in talent that gap gets a lot narrower.
