The second of three hopefuls for Ohio University provost emphasized the importance of research and faculty-administrative cooperation during her speech yesterday in Baker University Center Ballroom.
As dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Central Florida, Kathryn Seidel said she recognizes the value of working closely with faculty.
I know as dean it's hard for me to make a faculty member do anything
Seidel said. Trust and agreements with faculty are necessary for an administration to run efficiently, she said. I don't want to be a leader and look behind me and find nobody out there.
