Three Ohio University bands will wrap up the year with the second-annual pops concert at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at 8 tonight.
Conductor Richard Suk said the concert will feature the University Concert Band, the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble, and it probably will last for an hour and a half.
The Concert Band will be playing Olympiad
Bugler's Holiday and Bravo. The Symphonic Band will follow with Gandalf selections from West Side Story and Festive Overture. The Wind Ensemble will finish the concert with Star Wars Bayou Breakdown and Cartoon.
Suk selected songs that were not very long, enjoyable to play and interesting tonon-musicians. The bands have been practicing since the beginning of May.
Admission is free.
