Goalkeeper Melissa Parra made the most of her return to her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend.
It was not enough, however, as the Bobcats were unable to muster a goal in their 2-0 loss to Drake on Friday and 3-0 loss to Creighton on Sunday.
The senior goalkeeper held her own against a barrage of shots in Friday's loss, saving nine of eleven shots. She added four saves in Sunday's contest.
Coach Stacy Strauss felt that Parra's performance against Drake was one of her best efforts.
It was probably the best game Parra has had in an Ohio uniform
Strauss said. We gave up far too many shots and she came up with some big-time saves. She kept us in it in the second half.
Drake (2-6) jumped on Ohio early by scoring two goals in the first 25 minutes. Drake's defense dominated the rest of the way limiting Ohio to only two shots on goal. >Strauss said the first-half letdown was what did the team in.
