Cross country improves on last year's MAC championship standing

Both Ohio cross country teams improved on last year's Mid-American Conference Championship finishes. The women went from tenth to fourth place. The men improved from fourth to third place.

Carime Reinhart led the Ohio women, who were picked eighth in the preseason poll.

Reinhart's time of 17:49 was a career best by eight seconds. She finished fourth overall. I was very

very pleased with my performance she said. I felt pretty good. Andrea Maas was the second Ohio runner across the line, finishing 13th overall.

Ohio beat conference foe Miami in the team standings by ten points.

Reinhart said. Our goal was to beat Miami and we hadn't been able to do that all season.

Akron won the women's team title with 41 points, followed by Toledo and Ball State.
