The parade of talented quarterbacks that have taken the field against Ohio this season continues this week with Toledo quarterback Bruce Gradkowski.
In Gradkowski, the Bobcats face a familiar challenge - a top-rated quarterback whose legs are as dangerous as his arm. The Toledo signal-caller boasts a 4.5 second time in the 40 and has rushed for 170 yards on 35 carries. Limiting his movement will be a key to Ohio's defensive success.
He can scramble
linebacker Tyler Russ said.
When he is not bolting from the pocket and gaining yards on the ground, Gradkowski is throwing strikes to one of the members of his talented, balanced receiving corps. He has spread out his 1,469 passing yards and 17 touchdowns among five receivers who each have more than 100 receiving yards and at least one touchdown.
(Gradkowski's) really got a strong arm and he's really accurate Ohio coach Frank Solich said. He's the kind of quarterback that you really worry about because not only can he beat you with his arm
but now he can beat you with his legs. He can beat you on scrambles
pick up an important first down and make the big play that way.
