After six warm-up meets, this one is for real.
The Ohio track and field team kicks off the two-day Mid-American Conference Championships this morning. The Bobcat women will face 11 teams, while the men will compete against five other squads. Both teams finished second-to-last in 2005 and seek improvement this year.
I think the kids are motivated
and they're as ready as they're going to be to compete this time of year coach Clay Calkins said. I'd just like to see the kids improve their performances and end the indoor season on a high note. If we can do that then there is potential to get some points on the women's side.
