The city's boil order for portions of Athens was lifted around 3:15 p.m. yesterday, ending a roughly 36-hour ordeal involving a break in a water main on West Union Street.
The university followed suit, ending its boil order at 4 p.m.
The break happened at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday and was repaired by 4 p.m.
The city does not have an estimate for cost of repairs, according to the Service-Safety Director's office.
