A female walking her dog along Curran Drive was grabbed Saturday morning by a white male, who placed his hand over her mouth and the other arm around her chest, according to a report from the Athens Police Department. Curran Drive is near West Elementary School, off of West State Stree.
The male released the woman when she kicked, punched and elbowed him, and he then fled the scene in a silver or gray two-door Pontiac with a license plate that began with the letters DSL.
The man was one of two white males who had been seen sitting in a nearby parked car. Anyone with more information should contact the department at 592-3313.
