Bobcats remain No. 21 in poll

This season has been full of milestones for the Ohio volleyball team, and after last weekend, even more are in reach.

Libero Michaele Blackburn is inching closer to cracking the NCAA Top 25 leader board in career digs all time. She tallied 21 digs over the weekend, giving her 1,841 for her career ' 49 away from 25th place.

Middle blocker Melissa Griffin and outside hitter Stephanie Blackburn are closing in on the 1,000-career-kill mark. Stephanie Blackburn needs 35 kills, while Griffin needs 37.

I really don't think about the mark (throughout matches)

but I'm excited for it Stephanie Blackburn said about the plateau.

The Bobcats remained at No. 21 in the AVCA Top 25 poll this week.

We try not to focus on the ranking too much setter Savanah Parra said. In my freshman and sophomore years

when (coach) Geoff (Carlston) first got here

we weren't ranked

but we had high expectations

so when NCAA Tournament time comes

we know we'll be ready.

Ohio was as high as No. 16 this season, but has since dropped to No. 21, which fuels the fire.

Since we have dropped

it makes us want to go harder and get a higher ranking

outside hitter Ellen Herman said. It isn't a thing we are leaning on.Crowd smaller but still effective

Two weeks after 1,804 fans came out to The Convo for a match with Eastern Michigan Sept. 30, 912 were in attendance for Friday's match with Buffalo, which did not sit well for Ohio coach Geoff Carlston.

We have a team here that is home for only five more matches ' we had 1

800 and 1
