Glouster man stopped in high-speed pusuit

Bond was set at $2,500 Monday for a Glouster man who led local law enforcement officers on a 25-mile, high-speed pursuit through Athens and Hocking counties Saturday.

Daniel Warren, 18, 11103 Congress Run Rd., sped away as a Nelsonville police officer attempted a standard traffic stop for the vehicle's loud exhaust, according to records from the Nelsonville Division of Police.

The chase, which involved the sheriffs' offices of both counties, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officers, ended when Warren surrendered to police near state Routes 56 and 328.

He just gave himself up there finally

said Nelsonville police Chief David Redecker.

According to the report, Warren was suspected of using drugs and was charged with felony failure to comply with the signal of a police officer. Warren is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday. 17
