Taco Bell on Court Street is closing its doors and moving on to a new location on East State Street.
Jodi Flinn, manager of Taco Bell, 41 S. Court St., said the new location will open sometime in March ' I am hoping spring break week
she said. New equipment will be delivered to the new store around March 5, and the store should open a couple weeks later, she added
With the move, Taco Bell will add about 30 employees to its current workforce of 20, Flinn said.
Caroline Thomason ' manager of Best of Athens Rentals, which owns Taco Bell's building ' had no comment beyond confirming that Taco Bell is moving. Flinn said she has not heard what business might fill the vacant building.
The new location will be between Bennigan's, 944 E. State St., and Hampton Inn, 986 E. State St., by the University Mall. 17
