Originating in Champaign, Ill., Shipwreck may not be a band that is anywhere near water, but the group's music definitely has a mariner, out-at-sea sound that will be coming to Ohio University's Baker University Center Theatre tonight.
Shipwreck originated in 2004 with Harman Jordan and Vlad Brilliant.
We were just making a mess of music
said Jordan, guitarist and vocalist for the band. But it became a more cohesive unit (when all the members came together).- Jordan said. The band is looking forward to playing here in Athens with Magnolia Electric Co. tonight for the first day of their East Coast tour, which also includes dates in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York until the beginning of July. We're terrifically excited and have been packed for a week now Jordan said.
