Amy Flowers, Jim Sands and Carol Patterson are my picks for the three Athens City Council at-large seats this time. I didn't vote in 2005, but I've done my homework this year and for May 8, I'm picking Flowers, Patterson and Sands.
I will Pick Flowers (isn't that so neat!), because she's shown that she has a lot to offer Athens. Amy Flowers has the brains and the work ethic that makes her right for Athens.
And Carol Patterson brings a lot of class. She is an innovative thinker, and she is the best of the best when it's time to go to work.
It seems like everybody knows Jim Sands, and there isn't a bad thing to say about the man! He is smart, hardworking and one of the friendliest people in Athens.
I'm voting absentee (you don't even need a reason these days), and I will fill in the circles by Flowers, Patterson and Sands as soon as the envelope arrives. They are my kind of Democrats!
