I am greatly disappointed in your paper for allowing the column America's party being crashed since the first settlers left England to be published. This column is incredibly inappropriate and insulting and should not have been allowed to be published. The fact that he was comparing the country to a party was fine, but when he classified all immigrants, legal and illegal, as scum, he crossed a line from an appropriate, opinionated column to an inappropriate and insulting opinion that is not shared by most people. Obviously, the person who wrote this article didn't think about the fact that there are a fairly large number of international students on this campus and by insulting them he just alienated a large group of your readers. While I realize that you might not necessarily care about alienating the international students, by writing this article you also alienated American students who either are friends with international students or are simply disgusted by the message that the writer of this article gave. From now on, I think that you should not allow such articles to be published because they are untrue and insulting.
