Hocking College is under investigation by the FBI for possible misuse of federal funds, a spokesman confirmed.
President John Light and Senior Vice President Russell Tippet are both under investigation, said Mike Brooks, a spokesman for the FBI. Brooks declined to comment on what exactly is under inspection.
The FBI is working with the Ohio Attorney General's Office, said Brooks.
The Ohio Attorney General's Office also declined to comment.
The Ohio Ethics Commission, to whom Light is required to report spending, is not officially investigating Hocking College, but looks into ethics-related questions and concerns regarding public officials, according to Executive Director David Freel. Freel declined to comment on the specifics of the FBI investigation.
