The Lost Flamingo Company will be performing Liberation in the Humble Play: Appalachian New Play Festival. This is the company's first play in the festival.
Liberation, written by Sarah Guthrie, follows the story of a woman named Libby, played by Ohio University sophomore Kim Brack, who manages to escape abusive relationships with her boyfriend and her boss.
The play sends the message that you don't have to take abuse, and there is always a way to get out and people to help you, said director and OU senior Timothy Aranyos Jr.
Liberation will take place at 7 tonight at Arts/West, 132 W. State St. Admission is free for students and $3 for nonstudents.
