I believe a public official should have a commitment to community service. Garry Hunter has demonstrated his commitment to community service by being a member of The Plains United Methodist Church for 42 years, a 25-year member of the Salvation Army Board, a former member of both the Kiwanis and the Athens Foundation, a volunteer, legal counsel for the Athens High School McClure Education Foundation, a volunteer, legal counsel for the Nelsonville High School Restoration Foundation and member of the community Improvement Corporation. I support Garry Hunter for re-election as Athens City Law Director.
