I am writing to personally endorse Pat Kelly in his bid for Athens County Sheriff. Pat will receive my vote not only because I know him personally and have always found him to be honest and upfront, but also because I have had the opportunity to observe the current workings of the Sheriff's Department first hand. I have urged Pat to run for this position after many times seeing the complete and total lack of morality within the department under Castle's reign.
If we take a look at Mr. Castle's present
we will see a department who lacks both respect and morality. We will see a sheriff who has spent over a quarter million dollars of taxpayers' money on lawsuits filed by his own staff, lawsuits justifiably filed due to Mr. Castle's abuse of his position to try to solve personal vendettas and to pursue his own racial biases ... and there is yet another still pending.
Let's ask where our domestic violence grant went to and how he can justify losing it. As a past victim of domestic violence, I can tell you how important this funding is to our county. This grant covered a huge portion of one deputy's salary. This is money that could be covering things like equipment and repairs to keep our officers safe.
Lets make a change for Athens County. A change for the better ... A change for fairness, integrity and honesty ... Vote for Pat Kelly as Athens County sheriff ... Cast your vote where it counts.
