With two events behind them, the Bobcats sit in third place tied with Miami after the first day of the MAC Championships in Buffalo.
It was a record-setting day across the board. Toledo took first place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:41:32, crushing the previous MAC Championship record of 1:44:1. The trend continued when Eastern Michigan took first place in the 800-yard free relay with a time of 7:15:91, defeating the previous record of 7:21:80.
There were very fast and strong performances today
Ohio coach Greg Werner said. The pool was very very fast. - but you have to respect the best you've ever been
Werner said. It's all about what everyone else is doing too.
Ohio's depth has been the key theme to this year's season, and last night was no different as Ohio used eight different swimmers. -
and it's going to play a bigger role later on
Werner said.
