Jennifer Bushby has become more than just a teammate.
Last week, the sophomore guard was named the third captain for Ohio, joining Lauren Kohn and Quintana Ward,
both seniors.
Coach Sylvia Crawley said that, at first, Bushby's age made her hesitate.
Sometimes it's hard for me to let go of the young ones
Crawley said. It's like I think 'But she's a baby!'
Crawley said that Bushby was the last person she was expecting to get voted by the team as captain, but her attitude toward the younger players makes her an effective captain.
When you think about it Bushby is a leader among the younger ones
Crawley said. She's built a relationship
