Adkins said he was surprised by the number of votes Pancake garnered because he thought Pancake and Davis would split the remaining votes.

Although Davis felt the race between himself and Pancake was very close, he said a lot of voters chose Pancake because he supported the removal of the piggy-back tax.

Linwood, who won 1,518 votes, said she still felt she was the best candidate despite the results.
Kister voiced concerns that the election was fraudulent. He said he would demand a hand-count, and if there was not constant surveillance of the ballots during the election, he would demand a new election.

he said. This seems very fraudulent and stolen.
Baughman said he supports Adkins and that there were many good candidates and good ideas presented in this election.
Maybe whoever becomes commissioner for the county can take all these good ideas and put them together to make something good for the county
he said.
Ratliff, who had 1,622 votes, was unavailable for comment.
The winner will run against Republican Larry Payne for the commissioner seat in November.
