First off, I want to thank the entire staff and the editor in chief of The Post for running such a well-organized newspaper coverage of the recent Athens County election. With that being said, I write in response to the article penned by City Senior Writer Jess Mosser, Warren holds off Gwinn in prosecutor race.
According to Nick Budich, a political operative of Athens County Democratic Party Chair Susan Gwinn, she (Gwinn) represented 40 percent of the total Athens County population. In his quote, She got to bring up the issues that not only she
but 40 percent of Athens County thought were important issues in the prosecutor's office he said, Hopefully
Dave Warren will take heed to that.
If Mr. Budich would check his facts about Athens County before he shot off his mouth, he would have known that the Gwinn campaign only represented 8 percent of the total population of the county, which is a hell of a long way from 40 percent!
People voted for Gwinn for all sorts of reasons other than to send a message to Dave Warren to take heed. I think that the real message delivered by the people of the Athens County Democrats party is for Susan Gwinn to resign from her county chair position and, Hopefully
Susan Gwinn will take heed to that.
