An Ohio University student was stabbed on Jeff Hill early yesterday morning, according to a city police report.
Freshman Daniel Rexer reported that he and a friend were walking down Jeff Hill at about midnight Tuesday morning when another male made some remarks to them
according to an Athens Police Department media release.
Rexer and his friend began to talk to the man, who then stabbed Rexer in his upper left thigh before fleeing, according to the release.
The wound is not serious and city police are investigating, said APD Lt. Dave Williams in the release.
The attacker was described as a white, college-aged male, about six feet tall, of average build and wearing jeans and a dark, hooded sweatshirt, according to an OU Police Department crime alert.
Because of student privacy laws, OU officials are unable to discuss ongoing investigations, said Sally Linder, senior director of media relations for OU.
