I am writing on behalf of the National MS Society to thank Ohio University's sororities and Center for Community Service for their participation and volunteerism at Walk MS: Athens this past weekend at the Athens Community Center. More than 100 Ohio University students and community members joined together on the morning of April 12 to partake in the three-mile walk along the Hockhocking Adena bike path. Walk MS raised over $7,000 for the National MS Society, whose mission is to create a world free of MS. The funds from this walk will be used to fund direct services to those living with multiple sclerosis throughout Ohio, as well as fund the continued effort to find a cure for MS. Without the help of these students, none of this would have been possible. Thank you.
The National MS Society will be hosting several other Walk MS events throughout Ohio in April. Please visit www.msohiobuckeye.org for more information on how you can join the movement to create a world free of MS.
