Childhood chums reunite for 'Knock Me a Kiss'

For Sharath Patel and Dan Winters, last week's Ohio University School of Theater production Knock Me A Kiss was a culmination of a friendship and partnership that has lasted more than 12 years.

Patel, a professional sound designer, and Winters, a lighting design graduate student, have been working together in theater since they attended Athens Middle School in the mid-1990s.

They continued to work together during their time at Athens High School and during their undergraduate work at OU on nine productions, including Rumors, The Wizard of Oz, Six Degrees of Separation and As You Like It, Winters said. G

Winters said. In our meetings we can talk for 15 minutes about the show and then spend 45 minutes making fun of each other.G said Shelley Delaney, the show's director. These two can barely speak a sentence to each other and still understand what they are trying to say.G

Patel said. I hope he will come to the city and work with me.
