Every family has a story to tell, and artist Tanya Thompson chooses to tell that story through family collections.
Tanya Thompson is an Athens resident whose work comprises multi-media art, accessory design, paintings and drawings. Her family's hat collection will be on display from now until June 12 in the Multicultural Center Art Gallery in the exhibit Hats Off to the Parker Ladies.
Even though her family's collection completely fills the shelves in the Art Gallery, Tanya said only one-third of her family's hats are used in the exhibit. -
