As a graduating senior, I have only one regret in my college career here at Ohio University, and that is not appreciating the culture that is unique only to Athens. Most students at OU go through the days without a fleeting thought of being a part of the Athens community. It has taken me four years to pause, look around and recognize what a special place Athens is. Away from papers, tests and crazy parties, Athens provides us students with such a unique opportunity to experience its environment, food and music that you never knew existed. The environment of Athens is so rich in beauty that it is essential for students to experience it. From the bike path that goes all the way to Hocking College to the nature trails in the Ridges to the rolling hills of Stroud's Run to Bong Hill that overlooks Athens, a students has not truly experienced this town if they have not explored outside past campus. Being outside, you will likely work up an appetite, and Athens provides some of the best food for people to eat. From O'Betty's variety of hotdogs to Bagel Street Deli's plethora of bagel sandwiches to the one-of-a-kind Burrito Buggy to Casa Cantina's organic menu, these places will provide an exciting atmosphere and surely get rid of those hunger pangs.-
