Football player hits lottery numbers, wins $250,000

If you see Ohio offensive lineman Mike Eynon around campus this week, shake his hand and give him a pat on the back. He is the luckiest man in Athens after winning the second tier of the Ohio Lottery Mega Millions, worth $250,000. -

'This isn't right ' said a visibly excited Eynon. I didn't know if I won or not.

As for the winnings, Eynon plans to pay off college expenses and donate a sum to his hometown church in Westlake.

The winning numbers for the Mega Millions were 9-21-36-38-55, with the mega ball being 13. Eynon matched all five numbers but missed out on the mega ball that could have awarded him $34 million. Still, Mike isn't complaining.

The NCAA views the lottery as a game of chance (such as a raffle) and winning it is not in violation of any rules.

I talked to coach (Jason) Grooms to make sure this was okay

Eynon said. They cleared it all up and said it was fine.

Eynon did not use his lottery win as an excuse to skip practice.

Ya' know

why should I get a day off for winning the lottery? Eynon asked. It's just another day.
