I am writing with some concerns I have regarding the puzzling headline for the article authored by Kristina Hauptmann in the Aug. 14 edition of The Post. The headline University expects less in donations is rather jarring, especially when read within the context of the article. The article simply does not carry the message that Ohio University expects less donations in the coming year -
to great. We believe we are that type of national university, and we remain committed to the goals set forth in Vision Ohio, the university's academic plan.
We appreciated the factual article by Ms. Hauptmann. But the headline is in error, and sends an inaccurate message to very important internal and external constituencies ' our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends. We expect to deliver another successful fundraising year this year, and look forward to updating the university community on those results. Thank you for your time.
