The chairman of Faculty Senate announced Monday that faculty are closer than ever before to getting a seat on the Ohio University Board of Trustees.
There have been some positive developments in that we have gotten a little more positive feedback than ever before about the willingness to consider it

Davis said. What we're trying to do is find out what other institutions do.
Davis said he hopes the group can make a presentation to the Board of Trustees at its October meeting, but if not, they're shooting for February. He added that the group is not limiting themselves to considering a non-voting position, but instead looking at all models used across the country.
